"Elvira Arellano has slipped out of Chicago and apparently is headed toward Los Angeles, where an immigration march is being planned for Saturday, a West Coast march organizer said today.





She had announced plans this week to travel to Washington next month.





Arellano, an illegal Mexican immigrant, became a lightning rod in the country's immigration debate after taking refuge inside a Humboldt Park church last summer. Just two days ago, she announced she was leaving the church and was heading to Washington, D.C., to participate in a Sept. 12 prayer and fast vigil on the National Mall."

What I think is that she is no martyr for immigrant rights. You stated that she is an opportunist and I agree with that much. She is good at flip flopping a situation in her favor.





I however think that our Federal Government should be opportunists also and get her at the planned march. Will they? Probably not, too political I suppose. I can dream though and hope that laws are followed through.

Reply:well she is an activist and a leader, now if she is going to dare and march at the rallie in L.A. that means only one thing. she is ready to affront the consequences , but I see it really hard for ICE , to even attempt a deportation on her ,if they want it to do it how come they haven't try that , they well know where she is at all times . maybe they are just on her side. remember Elian . they came and got him and step on everyone on their way. so......

No, she isnt an activist and a leader, she is a bona-fide criminal with a felony hanging over her...
Reply:She wants two things, she wants the USA government to intercede in the affairs of a solvent government, namely Mexico to provide her fellows Mexicans with things that her and her fellows Mexicans should be demanding for themselves. She didn't seem to mind sending her son to that same government to demand that the USA grant her amnesty. If I didn't know better I would say she is trying to have it both ways and used both governments for her own desires.


Then she demands to be allowed to stay in the USA, even thou she pleated guilty to using stolen documents, for herself and others to unsure that others can do the same. You have to hand it to her, she has no shame in first breaking our laws, then demanding that her right is to stay and fight for others who have also broken our laws.
Reply:Good, I say let her and as many other illegals as want to go have their little march. If the immigration officials were smart they would take the opportunity to round up thousands of criminals and deport them.
