Determine the sequence of genes along a chromosome?

Determine the sequence of genes along a chromosome based on the following recombination frequencies: A-B, 8 map units; A-C, 28 Map Units; A-D 25 Map Units; B-C, 20Map Untis; B-D, 33 Map Units.

Determine the sequence of genes along a chromosome?
Arrange the genes so they meet the stated criteria.

Draw a line.

Start with the largest distance given (B D). So start by putting them on the ends (they may not end up there). Now how does A fit with respect to either of them? It's 8 units from one and 25 from the other... Now where does C have to go given it's distance from B and A?
Reply:D, A, B,C

25+8=33 (D-B)

8 +20 = 28 (A-C)
