Really in need of help?

I've tried looking this up with no luck, so here goes... In the process of T-cell signalling, there exist ITAMs that are phosphorylated by Src and Syk class proteins, and thus activating MAP Kinase, Protein Kinase C, and Calmodulin proteins for the downstream process of AP-1, NF-AT, and NF-kappaB as the target immune response. However, the issue of ITIMs come up, as they are suppose to produce an inhibitory effect on this pathway also through phosphorylation, but I never got an adequate answer on how it approaches this signalling inhibition. Anyone able to help, that'll be awesome.

Read this article. I'm sure it's in there someplace.
